Front Desk Medical Receptionist
Be the welcoming face of our integrative clinic and help our team ensure every patient feels seen, supported, and cared for.
Open Position:
Position Overview: As the first point of contact, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless and welcoming experience for all patients and visitors, managing administrative tasks efficiently, and supporting our clinical team. Key Responsibilities: -Greet patients and visitors warmly and professionally upon arrival and throughout their visit. -Manage multi-line phone systems, answer inquiries, and direct calls to the appropriate staff member promptly and courteously. -Schedule, confirm, and reschedule patient appointments using EMR/scheduling software, ensuring an optimal daily flow for providers. -Verify and update patient demographics and insurance information at each visit, ensuring accuracy and HIPAA compliance. -Collect co-pays and outstanding balances on patient accounts and process payments accurately. -Manage patient records, including scanning documents, filing, and ensuring all information is current and confidential. -Coordinate with clinical staff to manage patient flow and relay important messages or patient information. -Maintain the reception and waiting areas, ensuring they are clean, organized, and comfortable for patients. -Assist with general administrative tasks like processing mail, ordering supplies, and managing faxes/emails. Qualifications & Skills: Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in a medical office or high-end customer service setting is preferred. Skills: -Proficiency with computer software is essential. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment. -Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance procedures is a plus. -Empathetic, professional demeanor, and a commitment to patient confidentiality (HIPAA). Details: This is a part-time position, four days per week: M-TH. The position will average 32 hours per week. One day will be at our downtown Spokane clinic, and three days will be in Deer Park.
