Sam Schlazer-Robison
Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
Sam Schlazer-Robison is a board-certified Psychiatric–Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with more than 15 years of experience in healthcare and family-centered care. Her background includes women’s health, emergency medicine, adolescent psychiatric care, residential treatment, substance use recovery, assisted living, and outpatient care, including telehealth.
These experiences have shaped Sam’s belief that mental health is influenced by the many areas of life that surround us, including relationships, physical health, learning, family dynamics, and environment. Her integrative, holistic approach considers these factors alongside each individual’s experiences, strengths, and goals.
Sam partners with patients to develop thoughtful, individualized plans that support meaningful progress. Depending on the person’s needs, care may include psychoeducation, therapy, medication management, supplements, lifestyle considerations, communication planning, and practical coping strategies. She believes that listening closely and advocating for each patient are essential to creating care that is both effective and personally meaningful.
Outside of her professional work, Sam is a mother of six and credits her family and life experiences with teaching her resilience, adaptability, and humility. Originally from Florida, she now lives in Washington and enjoys exploring different cultures and history. Music has also been a lifelong part of her life—she plays both the tuba and ukulele.
